Challenge
The car manufacturer previously used multiple backup applications from different vendors, adding complexity and inefficiencies to their IT infrastructure. The reliance on physical tape backups also posed challenges in data retrieval and physical storage, making the process time-consuming and cumbersome.
Wyse Solution
Wysetek deployed Veritas NetBackup as a unified backup solution across the primary data center in Pune and DR site in Aurangabad. The solution featured NetBackup Appliance 5240 with deduplication, compression, Auto Image Replication (AIR), and Accelerator features, allowing for efficient, high-speed backups with reduced bandwidth usage. Additionally, OpsCenter was implemented for centralized monitoring and reporting.
Impact
The Veritas solution streamlined backup management, eliminated the need for physical tape storage, and improved data protection with faster backup and recovery times.
