Wysetek implemented an Enterprise Backup Solution using Commvault for a leading Indian multinational conglomerate, achieving the Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) essential for the company’s data protection plan.
Challenge
With extensive operations across diverse sectors and geographies, the MNC required a robust backup and disaster recovery solution to protect critical data across 15TB of applications, databases, and virtual environments. They needed frequent, automated backups with minimal downtime to ensure business continuity.
Wyse Solution
Wysetek deployed Commvault’s Backup Solution, including IntelliSnap for VMware, which supports hardware-based protection for EMC VNX. The setup provided centralized management of backup and recovery through a single console, covering Active Directory, Exchange, SAP, and SQL servers. IntelliSnap enabled half-hourly snapshots for critical applications, completing tasks within 20 minutes, while other servers had backups every 6 hours, completed within 45 minutes.

Commvault’s features helped the client achieve their RPOs and RTOs, ensuring reliable data protection and fast recovery times. The solution reduced infrastructure requirements, simplified management, and offered scalability to support future data growth. Embedded deduplication, synthetic backups, and instant recovery capabilities further enhanced backup efficiency and minimized data loss risk.
