Wysetek implemented Nutanix’s Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platform for a leading Indian engineering company, reducing capital expenditure (CAPEX) and simplifying infrastructure management while enhancing performance and efficiency.
Challenge
The company’s aging IT infrastructure with outdated Cisco servers was costly to maintain, and virtualization support expenses were high. The management sought a solution to reduce CAPEX on hardware and virtualization licensing without compromising IT performance or service quality.
Wyse Solution
Wysetek deployed Nutanix’s HCI platform with two clusters—one with AHV hypervisor and another with ESXi for compliance. This unified platform replaced multi-vendor hardware and streamlined storage, compute, and SAN switch management. It also facilitated the migration of MS SQL Servers, IBM Lotus Email Servers, and other critical applications to the Nutanix HCI.
Impact
The Nutanix HCI deployment significantly reduced CAPEX, decreasing rack space from 26 to 6 units and lowering power and cooling requirements. The streamlined infrastructure minimized cabling and almost eliminated the need for multiple vendor management, consolidating storage, compute, and networking into a single platform, resulting in operational cost savings and simplified management.
